Miqdad Majdi, CEO of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company, stated at the signing ceremony of the cooperation contract with Sadr Tamin Exploration and Drilling Company, held at the TASICO building, that according to the established plans, the aim is to complete the resource data for the four zones of the Qolqoleh Gold Mine, which supplies feed for the 500,000-ton gold extraction plant in Saqqez. Additionally, the goal is to identify new reserves in this mining area.
In the first phase of the exploration operations during extraction, taking into account the climatic limitations in the Kurdistan region, it is planned to carry out a total of 10,000 meters of drilling (5,000 meters of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling and 5,000 meters of core drilling) by the end of this year. In the second phase, which will follow the current contracts, an additional 10,000 meters of drilling will be conducted starting from the beginning of the next year, as soon as the climatic restrictions in the region are lifted.
Mehdi Abedini, CEO of Sadr Tamin Exploration and Drilling Company, also said at the signing ceremony of these two cooperation agreements: Sadr Tamin Exploration and Drilling Company is part of the Sadr Tamin Investment Company and is a group with the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company. Due to the high level of knowledge and skills of the drilling team and the availability of advanced and up-to-date drilling equipment, it will be a source of peace of mind for the employer.
