A visit was made by the technical working group of the Kurdistan Province Mines, the Deputy of Urban Affairs of the Saqqez Special Governorate, and several senior officials from the Kurdistan Province to the projects of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company.

On Tuesday, December 5th, a technical working group of mines, the Deputy of Urban Affairs from the Saqqez Special Governorate, and several senior officials from Kurdistan Province visited the projects of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company in the fields of the factory and mining.
According to the public relations of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company, the visit included the Deputy Coordinator of Urban Affairs of the Saqqez Special Governorate, the Deputy of Mines and Mining Industries of the Ministry of Industry, Mining, and Trade (SMT) of Kurdistan, the Deputy Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Kurdistan, a representative from Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, the directors of the Kurdistan Water and Wastewater Companies, the Director General of Geology and Mineral Exploration of the West Region (Sanandaj Center), the Director General of Environmental Protection in Kurdistan, members of the Board of Directors, and senior managers of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company.
The visit was aimed at reviewing the challenges faced by the projects and proposing solutions to address them.


Engineer Moghaddad Majdi, CEO of the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company, provided an overview of the company's 12-month operational activities in the factory and mining sectors. He highlighted the significant economic impacts of this national project on the less developed region of Kurdistan and the extensive efforts the company has made in the field of social responsibility before the operational phase begins. He mentioned that the commissioning of the factory is planned to take place before the end of next year, as per the company's executive team’s objectives. While addressing the challenges facing the project, he called for further collaboration and support from the relevant authorities and organizations in Kurdistan Province, particularly in terms of granting necessary permits during the execution phase and supporting the project financially through loans and funding.

Following this, Engineer Ayazi, the Deputy Coordinator of the Urban Affairs of the Special Governorate of Saqez, expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company during the initial phases of the mining and factory operations.
He stated that the key to solving the employment challenges faced by the youth and local professionals in Saqez and even the Kurdistan province lies in this project. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and support from all provincial authorities for the success of the project. At the end of the visit, a meeting was held at the Special Governorate of Saqez to summarize the discussed points.
During this session, the managers and attendees shared their opinions and suggestions on overcoming the obstacles and challenges faced by the project and proposed solutions to address them.
