A joint meeting was held between the CEO and board member of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company and the Economic Coordination Deputy of the Kurdistan Province Governorate.
According to the Public Relations of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, a joint meeting was held on 16th of Dey, 1402 (7th of January, 2024) between the CEO of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company and the Economic Coordination Deputy of the Kurdistan Province Governorate. The focus of the meeting was on developing a strategic plan and roadmap for entering the Kurdistan Region of Iraq's market.
The meeting, attended by Dr. Foad Mithami, the appointed board member of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, Mr. Voria Banefshi, the company's commercial manager, and Mr. Hosseini, Director General of Investment and Employment Coordination at the Kurdistan Governorate, covered various key topics related to the session's objective.
At the beginning of the meeting, CEO Mojdeh presented the company's activities in the Kurdistan region and discussed the mission of higher authorities regarding the feasibility and market entry into the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He emphasized the geographical and cultural proximity of the people in the region to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, noting that this mission was entrusted to the company by the investment holdings of Sader-Tamin Group (TASIKO) and Social Security Investment Company (Shasta), its affiliated organizations. He expressed hope that, with the cooperation of relevant institutions in Kurdistan Province, they could start implementing the necessary actions promptly.
Dr. Ali Noori, the Deputy of Economic Affairs at the Kurdistan Governorate, welcomed the proposed plan and announced the full support of the Kurdistan Governorate.
He added that creating specialized exhibitions of Shasta group products in the Kurdistan Region, forming joint specialized holdings between Iran and Iraq, exporting technical and engineering knowledge from Shasta subsidiaries to the Kurdistan Region, and promoting synergies in gold and precious metals mining are key issues that could align with the objectives of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the necessary planning for implementing the discussed topics would be carried out by the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company.
