According to the public relations of Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, a performance evaluation meeting for the three-month period ending in June 2024 was held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hadi Nia, a member of the board of directors, Dr. Parvaresh, Vice President of Company Affairs, senior managers from Tose'e Ta'siko, as well as the CEO and Financial Director of Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Majdi, CEO of Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, presented a report on the company's ongoing projects in the mining and factory sectors. He stated that during the first quarter of 2024, following corrective actions on the EPC contractor's contract and the ordering of equipment for the main departments of the gold extraction plant production line, the first batch of equipment for the production line was delivered to the factory.
He added, "Considering that the progress of manufacturing other ordered equipment is also on track, we will witness the delivery of equipment for other departments of the production line during the second quarter."
The CEO of Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company continued, "With the establishment of the construction contractor on the project, the concrete work for the buildings and industrial structures has begun. The planning has been done in such a way that all related construction work will be completed before the cold and freezing season begins in the region. In the third and fourth quarters of the year, the focus will be on the installation and commissioning of equipment, and by the end of this year, we aim to have the initial production line of the gold extraction plant in Saghez up and running."
Majdi continued, "In the mining sector, supplementary exploration and extraction operations at the Qalaqaleh Gold Mine have resumed.
As per the planned schedule for refining the mineral data and updating the block model of the mine, an additional 10,000 meters of drilling, including 8,000 meters of core drilling and 2,000 meters of percussion drilling, will be carried out by Sader Ta'min Exploration and Drilling Company as the contractor."
He concluded by expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the Kurdistan Gold Mining team and expressed hope that in the second quarter of 2024, the mining extraction sector will be activated. He also mentioned that, with the recent acquisition of permits for the development of the mine's access road and working faces, the conditions for ensuring a sustainable supply of feed for the factory would be made possible.
