On the afternoon of Sunday, August 7, 2024, an investment agreement was signed between Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company and Atin Madan Media Company for four gold-bearing mining areas in Saghez County, Kurdistan Province.
This agreement aims to promote sustainable development in the less developed region of Kurdistan and ensure a steady supply of raw materials for the gold extraction plant in Saghez, which has been under construction by the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company since late 2022. The mentioned mining areas are located near the Qalgholeh Gold Mine, which supplies feedstock for the Saghez gold plant.
According to the agreement, both parties will invest in exploration, infrastructure development, and the extraction of gold-bearing ore for processing and gold bar production at the Saghez extraction plant.
Senior managers from both parties expressed their satisfaction with this strategic partnership and emphasized the importance of accelerating the planned activities for the coming years. Their goal is to create more added value in the mining areas of Kurdistan Province and to contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
It is worth mentioning that the Saghez Gold Extraction Plant, with an annual production capacity of 500 kilograms of gold bars, is under construction in Saghez County by Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, which is part of Tose'e Ta'siko. As of the end of July 2024, the project has reached 35% completion, and according to the plans, it is expected to be operational by the end of 2024
