Today, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, during the National Industry and Mining Pioneers Summit held at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground, the Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company was honored as the leading economic project of Kurdistan Province.
The summit, attended by Seyed Mohammad Eslami, the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, featured the introduction and recognition of industry and mining pioneers across the country. Specialized panels were also held on key topics such as financing and currency allocation, customs, insurance and taxation, and energy imbalances.
The Kurdistan Gold Mines Development Company, a subsidiary of Sadr Tamin Investment Company and affiliated with Shasta, is currently executing the Saqqez Gold Extraction Plant project with an investment of over $65 million. This project, aimed at creating sustainable employment for 500 people directly, has been recognized as the leading economic project of Kurdistan Province and is scheduled to commence operations in the first half of next year.
The "National Industry and Mining Pioneers Summit" was held in line with the directives of the Supreme Leader (May his esteemed shadow endure) regarding the development of private enterprises and the promotion of a people-oriented economy. The summit emphasized the necessity of organized, revolutionary, and jihadi efforts, with the declared objective of supporting national production. This goal highlights the pivotal role of industry and mining pioneers in completing and creating added value within the production chain.
