According to the public relations department of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, on Sunday, February 10, 2025, coinciding with the ninth day of the auspicious Fajr Decade, several projects implemented by the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company were inaugurated in the presence of the esteemed Friday Prayer Leader of Saqqez, the esteemed representative of the noble people of Saqqez and Baneh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the esteemed deputy governor and special governor of Saqqez, and a number of officials from the city's departments.
The aforementioned projects, which were among the development projects implemented by the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company within the framework of social responsibility, were carried out in order to strengthen the infrastructure of the region and create a suitable platform for the development of sports and easier access to public services.
Meqdad Majdi, the CEO of Saqqez Gold Mining Development Company, said at the opening ceremony of these projects: "The Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company is one of the subsidiary companies of Sadr Tamin Investment Company, affiliated with SHASTA, which considers its main mission to be job creation and sustainable development. In addition to this, it is one of the few companies that, before the start of the exploitation and production period, has taken steps to fulfill its social responsibilities, and believes that sustainable development depends on improving the quality of life of local people.
In this ceremony, the attendees thanked and appreciated the positive and effective measures of the Kurdistan Gold Mining Development Company, and while referring to the constructive cooperation and interaction of this company in various social and economic fields of the province in recent years, expressed hope that in the coming year, with the constant efforts of the management and personnel of this company, valuable measures will be taken in the path of development and progress of Saqqez city and Kurdistan province.
The improvement and asphalting of the rural road from the Tmogheh three-way junction to Mazoujdareh and Cheragh Vays village with a length of seven and a half kilometers, the reconstruction and equipping of the two-classroom school in Mazoujdareh village, the reconstruction of the mosque in Mazoujdareh village, and the construction of a sports house in the villages near the Saqqez gold extraction plant in Mazoujdareh village were among the most important projects that were inaugurated and put into operation in this ceremony.
